I am painting some fenders for a garden tractor and did not have sense enough to quit laying on paint and have some serious runs. It is an enamel paint with a hardener added. Can I just sand everything down smooth and then shoot more color without stripping it all down?

As long as it had the correct amount of hardener in the paint and it's fully cured you should be able to sand and repaint.

you should probably cut off the tops of the runs and let it cure some more. sometimes it can take a while for the inside of the run to cure since it's so thick. sand them about halfway off or maybe a little more, then wait a day or two to finish sand.
