Cool What's the shelf life of an open can of plastic filler?

I have a new 1 gallon can of Rage Gold. I'll probably be using 1/3 of it. If I reseal it properly how long can I keep it on the shelf and still reuse it?

Most of the newer high quality fillers like Rage Gold will keep a long time. I'd say just keep the can out of the sun and it should be good then next time you need it.

However don't try to re-use the hardener. If something is going south, it will be that. Just pick up a new tube. It's cheap.

In most cases when hardener goes bad it turns to a liquid. That I would throw out.

If it looks normal I would use it. In 50 years of spreading bondo/plastic filler I had ONE bad tube of hardener that looked normal. I have used tubes of hardener that are several + years old and they work fine.
