    Default chemical

I have a 1969 chevelle which I bought 3 years ago. I am finally going to start work on it. The problem is some how a chemical was splatterd on the car from the roof to the trunk on to the back bumper. I was told the car needs to be striped but there is a chance the spots might come back after paint what can I do?

It's a little hard to tell without seeing it but I'd say that stripping, cleaning, applying a good primer then repainting will stop almost anything from coming back.
