Compressor envy

I do mobile work so my compressor has to be on the small side. I use Sata minijet and Iwata LPH300 guns. My Q is, I have my compressor set at 120psi and it puts out 8.4cfm @40psi and 6.2cfm @90. Would I be significantly better off if I drop my pressure 50psi? Would my guns operate more efficiently?

Where do you want to drop the pressure to 50psi? The compressor will keep 120 psi in the tank. Your regulator should take it down to a more manageable pressure, say 90 psi. Then the regulator at the gun should take it down to the pressure the gun uses...

Lowering the tank pressure will just reduce your air reserve, not a good thing...
