Soft Edge Tape Machine

I was curious if any of you have used a tape machine that make a soft edge for you for use in door jambs and things. I was wondering if I could find a cheap one online cause my local paint store it is 80 $

I'm sure Len sells the E-Z edger much cheaper than that. I bought a couple directly from the manufacturer at the NACE show but I think the list price is $55. If your jobber is charging you $80 he's stealing.

I used one of those EZ Edger tape folding machines for years along with prefolded tape from another manufacturer and none of them even comes close to producing the result of the new 3M Smooth Transition Tape. This is a 1/4" plastic tape that has a shim under it that holds the tape off the surface. It works much better than folded tape.
