acrylic urethane questions

If i epoxy primer my panel, can i hit it with acrylic urethane primer surfacer when dry to avoid having to re sand the epoxy before application?

if after the acrylic urethane surfacer is block sanded, can it sit for long periods before sealing and basecoating without having to reblock again?

There is a "recoat window" on epoxy primer that differs from one product to another. You need to coat your epoxy primer within that recoat window in order for it to bond properly.

Paint that is applied to filler primer uses a mechanical bond to hold onto the surface. This means there is no recoat window but it's usually best to scuff it lightly before you paint if the primer sits for long periods of time. A light scuffing will remove any surface contaminants that could attach themselves to the surface and then the surface can be cleaned and painted.

I agree with Len, but If I plan to prime something but not paint it for a while, I'll wait on the blocking until Im ready to paint it. Its more weather resistant and stain resistant if its left unsanded

Also, anything that's shrinking (your 2k high build, fillers, putty etc) has that much more time to do so before you block it all nice and perfect.
