    Default Coating inside of frame rails

    While I have my front cross member off of the Mustang, I want to paint the inside of the front frame rails which are pretty rusty but not bad enough to replace. Do I use the picklex-20 first and then a coating? I was going to use one of those under coating bottles with a long wand to apply both the picklex and then zero rust. I am a little concerned about how long it will take for the picklex to dry after I have douced it with a sprayer. I should see if I can find a long handled bottle brush so I can at least remove some of the loose scale.

    Craig,
    I think I'd go for dislodging the scale by hammering the crossmember with a hard plastic mallet. Anything that is loose enough to come loose by this method will get rid of the most problematic rust and anything that doesn't come loose more than likely wont be a problem.

    Is there a chance that the crossmember could be closed up and the ZR poured in and rolled around to get coverage, with the excess poured out and put back in the can?

    A long ago user shared that he used a toilet bowl brush to coat inside his frame rails which I thought was pretty creative. Keep the peace at home and go buy a cheapie.... your wife will appreciate it....
