fibre glass q's
just got a couple of questions concerning fibre glassing...
i have recently fitted a new skirt to the front bumper of my car... the skirt required abit of cutting because it was stupidly low and the fitment was great... the skirt its self was a fibre glass shell smoothed and primed ready to paint.
i have now fitted the skirt how i want it and have bonded and riveted it into place.. however because this has been modified there were a couple of gaps between the bumper and skirt which i hav filled with fibre glass..
my next job will be smoothing the fibre glass down. then to use filler to clear up the inperfections sand down again.. spray with Lechler Ti primer filler rub down fill any over imperfection sand and primer again before apply the base and then the clear..
is this a good procedure?
i have been told that fibre glass moves alot and even thou i might get it perfect at first it will move. any tips on this or is that just how fibre glass works..
thanks
