Exclamation Need advice on my Maxima

This is my 1992 Maxima and I was involved in an accident where I was taking a left turn and was hit by an illegal immigrant running a red light. Ended up as a hit and run but thats not the point.

I am not sure where to begin on repairing this but would assume replacing the rear passenger quarter panel and door is in order. I am not sure how to go about this and any help offered would be wonderful. Thanks!

Around the tire area the metal needed to be pulled up to allow enough clearance for the tire so i could get it home.

I'm repairing a newer Maxima hit the same way. This is the order i went with.First i set it up on the Car-o-liner and measured it. Unibody was OK. Pulled the interior out, removed the rear glass. Pulled the wheelhouse and dogleg out. Cut off the old quarter. Hung the new door,Straighted the wheelhouse.Fit the quarter. Once i got the quarter lined up to the new door right i welded the quarter on. BTW ive been doing collision repair 18 years.Thats not a job for a beginner working in his driveway. You need air tools, welder and a way to anchor the car and pull the damage.

Sit down with your Yellow Pages and start calling local junk yards in your area and you should be able to find that right rear door with no problems.

You won't need a frame machine but you will need the right quarter and probably the wheelhouse. You can get the quarter much cheaper if it's available from an AFTERMARKET sheet metal supplier like Keystone. If it's not available aftermarket you can get it from the Nissan dealer at a higher price.

Once you get the sheetmetal you'll be able to tell what needs to be removed and what needs to stay. After you get that far come back and we'll discuss how to cut things off and put things back on.
