An 07 three quarters painted with less than 2 quarts of chroma base :-)

Painted the right side, part of the hood, the whole deck lid and both bumpers with less than 2 quarts of chroma base. Not to mention the body work. But... Id like to just say that chroma base applied over the right sealer (which is pennies compared to base coat) covers quite well.

where I work, I paint that color T8, every week. mustang, taurus and fusion. one coat covers, and one coat to even it out.

Never be sorry. Anyway, if that color was a transparent color you would have never gotten the coverage you did. Looks good.

Suggestion to you is not to paint on the plastic but rather bag the car with the plastic and put paper 18 - 36 inches from the surface you are painting. Spray dust will bounce off the plastic and onto you work surface but will stick to the paper. Henry

Actually it is a somewhat transparent color (effect). Not as bad as maroons though. Thanks for the tip. Might try that sometime. Overspray does stick to it, but taping the edge of paper to plastic must be easier than taping the edge of plastic to paper

Why didn't you clear that whole piece that goes over the door?

It's a lot of extra work to burn & buff that in when you could have cleared the whole piece with 5 more minuets of prep work.
