    Default Iwata gun pressures

I have an Iwata W-400 compliant gun. Would you have general recommendations for tip size and "trigger pulled" pressures for single stage, base coat, and clear? Thanks. Len, I've only used this gun a few times and like it a lot, but the included instructions are very general.

    Default W-400

Iwata recommends an inlet pressure anywhere from 28 to 42 PSI. The higher the pressure the better it will atomize but the harder it will be to control and the more overspray you will produce. These conventional guns are much less critical when it comes to air pressure, I ran mine without an inlet pressure gauge and just adjusted my air pressure at the wall regulator.

When you say inlet pressure, is that measured with the trigger pulled?
