    A good clear will stick to the vinyl as long as you remove the gloss. The
    problem is that the color is very thin on some graphics and sandpaper will
    remove the color from around the edge or even in the middle of the graphic.
    It's best to use a sanding paste like Scuff Stuff then wash the surface well
    to remove the residue. I'd dampen a rag or paper towel then apply a little
    Scuff stuff to the towell and work it in. scuff the surface of the vinyl
    until the gloss is gone but not so much that you remove the color. This
    should give a "good" quality clear plenty of tooth to make it adhere well.

    Thanks Len........will place an order for Scuff Stuff soon...also.....wanted to tell you.....my house was broken into 3 years ago while i was out of town......a number of things were taken......including a video.......your painting video.....the only video stolen.....i guess the thiefs needed to paint their get away car......so....i will also be ordering a new one......this time a DVD........and i will store it in my safe.....i didnt realize it was so valueable......thanks again for this site and all your help.......Bill

    Len clicking on the link in the above post didn't take me to the scuff stuff but instead to a page where it says your now offering a lease plan on tools . when I ckicked there on the 2 buttons to see lease price and on application both come up saying I'm not arthorized to view the pages . Just thought you might want to know .
