Default 95 Monte Carlo int lites

Hello all; did door repair and side paint on a 95 Monte Carlo. Now the interior lights won't work when door is opened. Maybe they never did. Anyway, does anyone know where in the dash the "black box" controller is located that controls the lights? Really appreciate help on this one. Thanks. Henry

    Default interior lights

Hey Henry...hope you catch this. I cannot tell you where the controller is, but are you sure that the problem is not in the latch mechanism itself? I'm not 100% sure that the switch for the lights is located in the latch on that car, but if it is...if it's gone bad, the light may either always burn, or never burn. If it's unplugged, it won't burn at all. Late model fords have a switch that goes bad quite frequently.

    Default Thanks Sam and

great to hear from you. The switch is a midget switch activated by the door handle. I took it from another car where it did work. People keep telling me about a control box in the dash but I cannot find where. I have a factory manual for the car also but that only shows wiring. Thanks again. Henry
