i think you'll like the filler!
I love the marson platinum. This seems like tons of polly putty at not near the price, so I will want to use it more. Im sure I'll be in heaven. I treat my polyy like it's gold. lolOriginally Posted by pane2k
It came with the red hardner. That went in the trash befor the packaging did LMAO
I'm pretty sure it's exactly the same as the green or blue hardeners, as long as it's made by a reputable brand.Originally Posted by 88GT
Havent used the red in years...except in fiberglass filler. It's cheap enough to be anal about.Originally Posted by AutobodyCAD

Red and blue hardeners are the same, they are different colors so they can be seen in different products. It won't make any difference in the hardening of the filler.
just curious. do body shops stll use nitrostan to fill the sandscratches anymore? years ago that was my job,to block out the putty get ready for paint. don't seem to see cars riding around anymore with that on the body anymore. took me a while before they trusted me to put it on. (the bodymen were so picky)I was the lowly prep guy, just wondering. used to be good stuff.
ahhh nitrostan.... the infamous lacquer spot putty. ive got a few tubes of it lying around and i will admit to using it a few times. it is really not used anymore from what i understand. this, like ll lacquer products will hold its solvent for a long time and will shrink and leave whatever you had filled very noticible later on in the cars life. polyester putties are much better
I love metal glaze. It fills all my darn pinholes!![]()
Lacquer putty? Do yourself a favor, trash it and get yourself some polyester putty like Euro-Soft or Easy Sand. You have much less shrinkage as the finish ages.
