Default Here's the new DeVilbiss Compact

I found one of my warehouse distributors is offering the new DeVilbiss Compact at an introductory price so I put it in the store and passed the savings along. I'm not sure how much it will ultimately sell for but my guess is that it will be at least $100 more after next month. Link below.

It seems like it should be better than anything else DeVilbiss has on the market because it's both HVLP and compliant AND it costs more. However, I won't be able to give an opinion until I get one and try it myself. I'll probably have one in a couple weeks.

Cant wait to hear what you have to say about it's performance Len. But honestly, being a "2 in 1" don't capture my interest. Thats why I have the GTi and the Plus. IF I were to get that gun, I would probably leave it compliance and as a clear only gun, but that is just speculation at this early age. Im pretty happy with the plus and GTi. But all things get out dated.

If this gun performs as well as the GTI and the Plus I'd say that you would probably be better off with this rather than the two guns. You would also have less invested in the same performance. However I won't know for sure until I try it.

    Default whats the difference?

Whats so new about this setup?

With my GTi I use the hvlp aircap for base and the trans-tech cap for clears.

This setup has been available since 2002. Admittedly the numbers are a wee bit different and it looks a bit more 'compact' however it's still just a GTi.

    compact GTi
    inlet - 18psi 29psi
    hvlp - 13.5cfm 16cfm
    compliant - 9.5cfm 9cfm
