Ive used the base a few times, seems to stay wet a little longer but dries very flat. If I remember they have a decent color card system for matching

Auto Air recommends you heat dry their base coat . If you use heat it will dry very fast . The best part about using it is no need to hurry to top coat with clear. Mooch

    Default Nexa Autocolor Exp.

Hey there. I had bad luck using ICI Autocolor before NEXA bought ICI - the reason : poor color match. Make sure that you know the dates of your color supplies. When we changed all old cans ( old means more than two yrs. on the rack ) everything got better. System is very good: base is fast bun not so fast as R-M Diamond ( you san tack off the base in five mins. ) and it is very hard to sand it in case that you end up with lots of dirt, which is my next complaint : For some misterious reason that had never happened in my life before, NEXA base had lots of dirt no matter who tried to spray. Paint Rep tried, his boss tried and they all had tons of dirt in base coat. Naturally , my clear would just show even more of that base dirt. Our spray booth was one year old, top of the line "Nova Verta" down draft booth. Clears are very hard to spray but my trick with 645 was to overreduce it with 15% more reducer, and spray with regular 32 psi @ the Gun. De Villbis GTI with 1.5 . Get to the clear before day 2 after your bake or your buffing work easily double. Single stage is something that I would never use again : the shine ig good, but wait more than two days to buff and you are in big trouble. I did 1978 Porsche 911 with single stage white ( original color ) and after five days got time to buff out some dirt, and ... Two days later and our paint rep willing to help with heavier duty compounds, we decided never to use NEXA single stage again ! Good luck and many nice paint jobs.
