What is the difference between the Sata 3000 and the 2000 guns?
What size tip would be suggested for basecoats, high solids clears, and kandy colors? Lastly would you recommend Sata over a Iwata LPH 400?
Thankks for the info

The sata 3000 is their latest technology in spray guns, they have about a 5psi increase in operating pressure over the 2000.I have not used the 3000 but they are supposed to atomize better.I'm not a fan of the hvlp models,I have always used the rp version cause it atomizes better and is faster.I would suggest a 1.3-1.4 tip.I haven't used the Iwata so I can't comment on it.After using a Sata rp for 3 years my gun of choice is a devilbiss plus with a 1.3 tip.
I should have mine next week. Getting it with a 1.4. Went to a HOK class a few weeks ago and Jon Kosmoski was using the new 3000 and highly suggested it. I wasn't sold on it until i watched him spray a few colors and then the clear.. wow! Another thing I like about it is the way it conforms to the hand. I got to play with it and it felt balanced..
I'll know more about it after I run a few gallons thru it, but it might be hard to beat my Iwata which doesn't like too much air like my 2000 does. I was told the 3000 likes the air.. dunno
