Question How to intentially make orange peel texture?

Hi, I am new to this Forum here so I hope everyone dont mind if I ask this.

I own a 1997 NA Miata with a colow code PZ (BRilliant Black), recently I am trying to repair this sizable paint chipped area (1" x 2") at the lower half of the door exterior. The issue is the miata has this factory orange peel texture on the lower half of the exterior, in this link shows the front quarter panel of the miata with orange peel texture.

I've gone a ahead to try and figure out how to form this texture using a paint repair kit supplied by Roberts Paint Care, but I just couldn't get the orange peel to form that strong and deep.

Since nobody wants orange peel on a car generally, there is no guide as to how to make it, Therefore I'm coming to this forum to see if anyone can give me advice as to how to make that texture.

NOTE: I know that I need to do the "opposite" of how to avoid orange peel, but I dont know the "opposite" means

In most cases that heavier orange peel is created by the application of a gravel guard on lower areas of the car prior to painting.
