Default Spraying dark stripes on white car?

I am painting the race car over the winter. I decided I will spray the lower half of the car a metallic grey simulating the original 67 gto rocker trim. I will be spraying the bumpers the same color grey. My plan is to spray the grey first mask then spray the rest of the car white. I am going to use BC/CC.
Question 1,Do you think the white will cover the grey?
Question 2, Should I spray the car white first?
Question 3, Can I use thinned clear for an inter coat clear?

    Thanks Mike

    1. Use a "good" paint and it will cover with no problem. South Jersey you can get some good base coat white from Motor Car Colors in Moorestown. Ask them for Diamont base in both colors.

    2. It can be sprayed with either color first. I usually try to get the easiest to mask first.

    3. Yes, just scuff it lightly prior to applying your last coats.
