    I'm not a big fan of heavier solvent based undercoating because most tend to crack as they dry and harden. If you are looking to protect the underside from rusting I'd recommend Zero Rust to coat the surface and if you want a sound deadening coating you can put undercoating on top of the Zero Rust.

    I agree strongly with what Len said in post #2. Sure, a wheel well, undercarriage all look sweet with a fresh shot of undercoating but longevity has consequences.

    I use ZERO RUST, trust it, it lasts, stops rust in its tracks (undercoating does not) and a major PLUS is many STATES endorse its use on rusted BRIDGE repair. Take your pick. Keep us posted.

    Can I just add more layers of zero rust or will more layers be bad

    Yes you can and we usually recommend applying more than one coat. If you apply several layers it's usually best to use a couple of colors like gray and black so that you can more easily see if you missed any spots.
