You might be able to get away with a decent dust mask and a face shield but because of Covid 19 almost everything is sold out.

The dust mask shown below is available for $10 plus shipping but it's not NIOSH approved and for grinding it should be used with a face shield.

This particular face shield costs $35 at this time.

metal grinding is considered a nuisance dust so not really a health concern like paint would be. literally anything that catches the dust to keep it out of your nose will work fine. the face shield is a good idea to keep your eyes protected.
len, are those dust masks really ten bucks each? or is that a package of 5 or 10?

The information from the manufacturer (Gerson) shows 50 in each box. I just ordered a box shipped to our office, I'll let you know how many I get.

yes you should be concerned about breathing in any kind of dust...

I agree that's a good mask, the problem is that because of Covid 19 all the good masks are out of stock in every warehouse.

I just got these dust masks, they are 50 in each box for $12 plus shipping. I can't believe they are available but my warehouse is showing several hundred boxes in stock.
MY wife is already using one for mowing the lawn.
