Default Hibuild primer over Zero Rust

1970 Porsche with 45+ yr respray. Rear deck will need a da and Picklex 20. Was going to cover with Zero Rust. If I decide later to do full respray, can I prep Zero Rust then apply hi build primer and begin the process. Thank you for your assistance.

I've never sprayed primer over ZR but it will probably be ok. If I were doing the job I'd wire brush and clean the rusted areas, apply the Picklex 20, work it in with a scuff pad, wipe it off, allow it to dry then apply and epoxy primer (that had no acid in it) then the filler primer. If you want to shoot a little ZR on it to make it look better than primer you could do it over the filler primer.

All that said you could probably spray primer over ZR but I've never done it.
