Omni works fine, especially the clear coat 161.The base caot doesn't cover as well so you would need more coats to achieve what your looking for. Also if your blending, dont even bother, just get dbu or dbc base.

If you have a nice car, like a new model car and have a small repair and dont have to paint the whole car, just partial, spend the extra money on dbu or dbc so that you get a better color match.

This is when you apply color over the repair then over-reduce the color so that it's more translucent and apply it over the repair but extend the area so that the new color blends into the old. In many cases this can be followed by spraying clear over the entire panel.
