Today I sprayed SS gloss black PPG DCC, and the finish overall looks good, but there are a couple of areas that have a slight orange peel and a few dust particles. I am going to lay down a couple coats of compatible clear for extra protection and shine. What would be best to achieve the best finish?

Should I wet sand the top coat before I put the clear on or wait until after lay the clear? If so, what grit can I use? If I don't sand the top coat, will the clear mask minor surface irregularities after I sand it and buff it smooth?
