    Default New Factory Chrome Wheels

Another question for members on preventative maintenance of new factory Chevy chrome wheels. I know a lot of aluminum wheels come with a plastic or poly protection sprayed or dipped on the metal surface. It almost (peels) of after several years of abuse and road salt. Is the same true for factory "chrome" wheels? I understand metal polish for factory chrome bumpers. I don't understand how that same product will help anything that has been sprayed with a protective coating that keeps the product from reacting with the metal. I'm hoping for some good advise on the proper care of chrome wheels and whether or not chrome wheels are the same as chrome bumpers.

if they are chrome then yes same as chrome bumpers. just use chrome polish to keep them clean. chrome does not need a coating to protect it
