Sand paper for the Dura blocks

Yes, the rolls of stick-on paper can be used on all the Dura-Blocks. The smaller blocks can be used with sheets of sandpaper that can be folded over the block.

Since I am only doing one big project and one other small repair, the rolls just aren't economical for me, so I have bought the packs that 3M produce and cut them to length. They adhere really well and are wet/dry also. They are a good bit more expensive per sq. inch but doesn't break the bank after you buy all your different grits you need.
Len, have you ever thought of carrying an alternative to the rolls?

I have them but not on the site. I'll try to get them on tomorrow. These 2.75" X 16.5" "Job Packs" of 5 sheets each should run between $5 and $6 each but I'll know better when I put them in the store. They come in 80, 40 and 36 grits. Did you see/use any other grits in Job Packs?

I actually came across different grits than those mentioned but they were not 3M. I have not yet purchased the different finer grits but I have seen them somewhere besides my local paint stores. It may have been Home Depot or Lowes but I'm not sure. I'll figure it out soon.

Ok here they are....

When you don't need a lot of sandpaper you can purchase a 5 sheet Job Pack. They come in three grits 80, 40 and 36. If you need finer grits you'll need to get a roll.

Job Packs come in Clip-On or Stick-On. The Stick-On paper works great with the Dura-Blocks.

Len, It was Lowes that has the stick-on sand paper in finer grits but the deal is that they come in strange sizes. You would have to cut it fit.

Not sure that it would be worth your time or if it would interefere with the company that offers rolls but would you consider dividing your rolls up for the first-timers and one-timers like myself and sell smaller quantities. Just a thought.

The problem is that the rolls don't have a any protective paper over the sticky side so it would be more trouble than it's worth to cut it up. I'll keep my eyes open for alternatives.

len is the 3M stick on really wet or dry? it doesnt look like other wet papers

if not what can you use to wet sand with a 17" dura-block?
