    Default help with hok flattener

so i have this paint job to do more real fire on a custom bike. the owner wants about a 30% flat finish. ive been playing on test panels for the flattener and they just suck. anyone have some tips on mixing this stuff?

the flattener is like sticky goo it does flatten the clear no problem, but im tryingt o mix small amounts for just these tests. hok instruction are 10-90% added to a quart of clear, im trying not to waste a ton of clear. hok clear is mixed 2:1:1..... so i tried adding clear to the 4 on the mix cup add 1 more line for the flattener and then the last 1:1 hardener and reducer. and i got a slight satin finish. so i did the same adding 2 and 3 above the 4 and got a complete flat nasty looking clear. what is the trick to mixing percentages in any amount.. i hate math..... but this job may get passed on unles i can get this to work and duplicatble.

    thanks jeff
