Default Siphon gun leaking at the fan knob, have ?s.

I bought a cheap HF siphon gun, is there away to fix it, or is it ok?

    Thanks.

You probably can't get parts for it so I'd say try taking it back and exchanging it for another one.

I looked at those a few weeks ago. The knob is so loose in the design that it wobbles in the radial direction as
you adjust the knob. Not surprised that you have a leaker. One guy on Youtube has a video on how to tune those
HF's. He uses teflon tape. If you can live with that ...

I machined a new "O" ring groove, it seams not to leak now, but we will see.

    Thanks.

Have you thought about machining new bushing for the material and air flow knobs. That would tighten everything up.
Don't use brass or aluminium. Use stainless 303 or 304.

Is it worth going through all of this fabrication on a "cheap" HF gun?

I'm just trying to help. If you consider it a project then yes. A project like this with poor construction is likely to have other issues too.

Otherwise I would say it is not worth the trouble.
