Default Shooting single stage paint question?

Will using a red scotch bright pad show scratches in single stage paint with four coats? I will use the pads in hard to get jam areas. I also have some softer gray pads if the red ones will show scratches. The car is being wet sanded with 500 grit sandpaper.

    Opinions?

I'm sure it all depends on what single stage product you're using, but I think regardless of which single stage line you choose, covering red scotchbrite scratches will not be an issue. If I'm doing a single stage job, I use U-tech and it covers 320 scratches in two coats without a problem.

Scuff pads tend to leave an uneven scratch so I'd say you'll probably be safer with a gray pad because the scratches will be finer.

Maybe a grey with some paste to help it along?
