Default Confused, Color sanding, for BB/CC

    Hi all
Saw the special for color sanding. Is this for a color coat/clear coat system?

Actually sanding the basecoat color Before Applying the clear??????

Can someone "go through" this procedure?
Or is this just for 1-step finishes?
    Thanks
    Ron

color sanding is what we call it when we sand and polish the clearcoat after the job is finished and cured. not really the "color"

On a single stage paint with the clear intergrated into the paint you
    can colorsand.

Color sanded single stage paint may be clear coated. The clear coat can be sanded if required.

On a base coat / clear coat system the base is the color. The clear is
the gloss. The clear coat can be color sanded !

You can use fine sandpaper to level the paint (single or multi-stage) the polish it to a high gloss. It doesn't matter if it's single stage or clear coated it's called "color sanding" and is done after the paint is partially or fully cured.
