I have a customer who would like me to paint his whole car in a paint called Spectra Chrome. Apparently the car is painted in base coat, then the spectra chrome is sprayed on the car using a house painting gun. Then the panel is washed off with a water hose, then sprayed with the spectra chrome again and washed again, and that goes on for several coats. Then the car can be clear coated.
When I do a bit of research in this product I find a lot of people with peeling paint jobs as well as paint jobs with yellow or white haze. I also find a lot of people who invest money into the system and have had problems try to get some support for the product only to find that everyone in the company doesn't want to talk to them anymore.
If anyone has used a chroming system that has had flawless results, please let me know. I also wonder if painting a complete is even possible in this colour.
