Spray guns 2012 Review--My new hobby

Thanks Studebake for commenting! I thought about that after I made my list; I couldn't find much info on the Sagola so I didn't go back to include it on my list. I wanted to go with a brand that a) was a great spray gun, b) well recognized, c) parts availability, d) great product support, e) well priced for what you get.

Hi, Len. I called Devilbiss, and asked if the caps were interchangeable. Debra said only they are not between the QC/Copper and the ProLite.

The reason I asked was because I got mixed reviews on all the aircaps. I was going to experiment which one worked best for my application.

What bad experiences have you had? In our shop they have performed flawlessly and they are really well engineered.

I did have a chance to spray a few jobs with the older 4400 gun with a compliant cap.I found it slow,did not like the anodized finish,or the lack of parts availability,or the cost.I would rather use my regular brand or a tekna which is over a $100 cheaper than a sagola in my area.

I have Finishline w 1.8 and 2.2. It is great for primer. I have Tekna copper w 7E7 and 1.2 and 1.3 tips. Works flawlessly for sealer, BC and CC. I wish I had a 1.4 tip and I don't use my 1.2 tip. Tips are really expensive so buy w gun, not later. I use dekups system for both. My compressor is basically the same size as yours.

I am extremely happy w this setup and purchased all from this site!

The SRi Pro sprays single stage perfectly and I just sprayed lacquer in the jambs of a Vette with it and it also did an excellent job there.

..... what needle/cap setup are you using for the urethanes and for the lacquer you just sprayed? Also which lacquer product did you use, PPG?

The store says it also can come with the 1.2 and I believe you can now get a 1.4 as well?

It comes with a 1.0 fluid tip and the .8 and 1.2 tips can be purchased separately if needed. I've been shooting everything with the 1.0 tip even though I have the other tips.
