    Default Primer or Filler first?

I'm working a '70 "B" body Plymouth, I had to repair front & rear window channels. In doing so, I had to remove some lead filler. I have since media blasted. My question is should I epoxy prime first or apply filler & what filler to use, milled, short strand or metal to metal? These areas are structually sound but some are about 1/4 deep that were filled with lead.

On most dent repair I don't use primer but if I have a chance of having moisture get to the repair from the back, through a seam, I'll prime it first. If the area is small I'll brush epoxy primer on, allow it to flash then apply my filler. For dents in sheet metal where there is no place for moisture to get through I'll just grind, straighten the metal and apply my filler.

Thanks Len, being in a pinch weld area, I will prime 1st. As to filler what would you suggest?

If the filler is over a seam I would use a moisture resistant filler to seal the surface then use standard body filler to level the surface.
