    Default aerosol paint

    hi do any of you wear masks when using aerosol paints many thx

    Since most prepackaged aerosols don't contain isocyanates you can get away with a cartridge mask when spraying larger projects. For quickie jobs you may be able to just stand upwind so you don't get hit with the overspray.

    thx it is only small jobs little bits on wheels small repairs on leather seats and plastic trim using satin black paint wheel silver normally each day but only spraying for less than a minute so i should be ok with out a mask then

    As long as you can stay out of the overspray you should be fine, it's not nearly as toxic as paint that has a hardener added then sprayed from a spray gun.

    Aerosol paint is very harmful! I rather paint 2k primer without a mask than painting without it when using aerosol!

    My question exactly....... Isocyanates are proven deadly to lung tissue. What's in a rattle can that come anywhere close to that?

    Iso expose causes permanent brain and nervous system damage. Lung damage is a secondary.
    Rattle can paint expose will do the same thing but at a slower pace.
    If you use rattle can paint then buy it in a can and shoot it from small paint gun.
    At least you will not be exposed to whatever propellant they put in the can.

    I do not remember what chemical it is but some brands local to me is really toxic
