    Default Removing sticker glue?

    Hi members.

I have just finished with a drift race car complete redo.
It obviously had HUGE stickers on of the sponsors.

I used thinners with "Domestos" (Think it is a drain/strong kitchen cleaner) to keep the thinners from evaporating very fast.
I used this mix with red scotch bright.
It worked well but it was really a insane experience.

The stickers was on the car for around a year plus.
Covering 50% +- of the whole car, so it was a lot of "tungsten carbide" glue!!

    How will you remove it???

PS. P60 on a strong DA almost does nothing.

3M general purpose adhesive remover. I use it very often and haven't tried anything else since I started using it. I wet the adhesive down with the remover then before it soaks up comletely wet it again then start scraping it off with either razor or plastic spreader.

I will also recommend 3m adhesive remover. It's awesome and really does its job. Only stuff I use. I do a similar process as stated above.

I have used Stoner Tarminator Bug and Tar Remover few times without issue. Walmart should have it for about $5/can. I usually follow up with wax & grease remover, then apply primer on top of it. Haven't got any problem yet.

The stuff I have is in a rectangular can. Probably about a quart size. I've had it for years. I have no clue what it cost. With the stuff I use I would think a quart can would do it but I've never done that large an area.

    Default one more thing

When you take the stickers off, I hope you stretched them off. That will take most the clue with the sticker, peeling the sticker leaves the glue behind.

Two more things really: When you get the glue softened up with the solvent, use cleaner wax to get it off the car, any cheap wax will do. The wax will keep the glue from sticking back down as you rub on it so it'll come off a lot easier.

Good idea on the wax! Can get wax cheap
Redoing the bumpers and side skirts and also the CF wing.
Oh and fitting a BMW M3 gearbox as the 320d box broke 3,4th gear
