Default LPH400 w/ LVB Cap for Clear - Anyone Recommend?

My old favorite clear gun, SATA NR2000, is on its last leg and I am not sure it is worth trying to rebuild or if you can even get a kit for it anymore for that matter. I love the LPH400 with the orange cap for base but never thought it was good for clear. I was debating buying the LVB cap for it to use with clear but still not convinced it will lay it as wet as I like it. Anyone have experience with the LPH400 and the LVB cap they recommend for clear?

I sell quite a few LPH400LVBs and I know it's used by a lot of professional painters that like it but I've never used it myself. I'd say it's worth a shot if you already have the LPH400. I have an NR2000 that I used for clear for years but using the newer compliant guns almost always lays the clear on much better. My NR2000 is now relegated to spraying sealer or epoxy primer.

    Cool

The lvb aircap is designed more for difficult to lay pearls and metallics, if you already have the lvx cap give that a go as it can be used for both base and clear. Or you could always get the silver lv4 cap which is the best one for laying down clear.

You absolutely CANNOT USE THE LVB cap for clear. Strickly for base and normally for very difficult to shoot bases. It puts out a very odd fan (extremely wide and shot at very close range (like 4 inches). It is entirely unsuitable for clear.

I have to agree 100% with that Dennis, the best aircap for clearcoat with the lph400 is the silver one lv4.
