Thread: Breathable air line

    Default Breathable air line

I have an SAS system and would like to run a rigid breathable air line from the SAS compressor to a quick disconnect in the booth. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should use for the rigid line (PVC, Aluminum, Steel)?...Thanks

I would probably go with the PVC. As long as the air isn't hot you shouldn't get and off-gassing from the plastic.

PEX or even black poly would probably be easiest to install, and either would be safe.

PVC will probably necessitate fittings to get around obstructions, and each fitting adds tremendously to the friction the compressor must overcome. A tight 90° turn equals 10 feet of pipe in restriction.
