OEM Dark Metallic Blue Color?

Anyone got a paint code or can think of a car that is a really dark metallic midnight blue or royal blue?

I have two suggestions - (1) - go to your local automotive paint store and ask to look through their color chip book and pick out a color.
(2) - Walk around new car dealerships looking for a car that has the color you like, then ask the salesman what the paint code code for that car is.


Midnight blue is a very dark blue (almost black) and Royal blue is not near as dark and a brighter blue than midnight blue.

My wife's car is a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Just sprayed a couple of front fenders for it. I don't have the code handy but it was called Patriot Blue or Patriotic Blue.

GM had a very attractive dark blue they used on mid-nineties pickups I know...not sure if it was truck specific though.

Ok, thanks guys. Ended up going with a dark metallic blue from a 2012 Porsche Panamera. A $28 pint of paint is about the only thing I can afford from that car, lol
