No sanding applies to single stage ONLY. example: acrylic enamel or any enamel, and single stage urethane , not bc/cc or 2 stage...just to clear that up if you didnt understand. Good luck.8)

trailer.jpg single stage with tribal sun had some paint left over from an incorrect mix.
trailer.jpgsingle stage paint. ppg omni (junk ) but it came out good . the first color was completing off. but they mixed new color much closer. so I used the off color to do the tribal sun not a bad color combo!
what do you think old man, not to bad . sorry I ain't got better pics.
I assume you are trying to match the trailer to the truck. If you are using single stage on the trailer...it never will. Single stage will never match bc/cc. Its just a different formula. It looks close , but pics may never tell exactly. The work looks good though. As long as your happy with it, then thats all that counts.![]()
Painting on that flat of a surface made it easy. Having a great gun also made fun. The sata jet 2000 with the ditital read out works sweet. I wish i had some original pics of the trailer. The guy I bought it from painted it with a roller
and HOUSE PAINT (BLACK)! I replaced all the cross braces underside, etched and painted the sub frame with p.o.r.15 . the axle was bent causing the tires to wear on the insides ,replaced the axle. The only thing that sucked was the paint.
frostje's right you just can't match the colors!! It's pretty close. I kind of like the color anyways.
whew! lot of prep work to get the old paint ready .
