1958 MGA Coupe painted and assembled

I come back to the forum frequently to brush up on various topics as I am now onto restoring a 1965 MGB. Last year I posted my painting adventures, but neglected to show the completed product! The car's design is very attractive (even with known flaws in my body/paint work), and turns heads wherever it goes. Maybe it is the way this thing demands to be driven, or the maneauvers getting in and out, but my body is sometimes sore after driving it! When I am in my shop working, I sometimes take the cover off of it to simply admire the curves and contours.

Thanks again for helping me through my first 2 stage project. As mentioned, I am now doing an Iris Blue MGB for my daughter, and I got a 56 F100 which is scheduled after that. Hot rod time I'm afraid...but already selected the color - the new Audi Papaya Orange, with silver trim.

Hey Robert,

Looked at your cool project with your son. The MGA coupe was a 3 year build on my own. However, I am currently doing a 1965 MGB for my oldest daughter who is the only one that is enthusiastic about these little sports cars. I will post pics of that project soon as I am still one month away from painting. Once it is painted I am going to reassemble for driving purposes, but the rest will be up to her to complete (with help of course).

Here is a link to that project, it hasnt been updated recently, as I actually had the thing out for a spin. But alas, my risk on the parts car engine didnt pay off, and I will be needing to pull the head to see whats going on.
