Default 62 lincoln continental, fixing old bondo, crease (newbie)

So i have been working on my 62 lincoln and i knew there was some hidden damage since there was cracks in the bondo.

What i found was about 1/4 thick old bondo covering an old accident of some sort.

What advice would you give this newbie in this repair? i was thinking of buying a cheap Stud Welder Dent Repair Kit, or perhaps trying to get it from the inside? or is the amount of bondo on there, not too bad?

I would remove the old filler by grinding it with some 36 or 40 grit grinding disk then straighten the metal by placing studs in the low spots and pulling on them while tapping on the surrounding metal with a body hammer. If you buy a cheap stud welder you may get quite aggravated since most of the cheap ones don't work very well. Check out the one below and see if it fits your budget.

it actually thins out the further back i go (i forgot to get more pictures the more bondo i took off)... but as you reach the rear it has no filler.

the bulk of the dent, was the picture.

suicide doors is what sold me on wanting and finally getting one. This car is 100% rust free and apart from this "accident" there is no body damage at all.
