I'll take your word for it. I don't spray half the stuff you do. I wish I could though. I'm still a very small fish in a big pond! This one was a gift from my supplier for spending money and paying my bills early! He showed up at my shop with it unannounced. WIN! This is my first Sata and I do like it, but it's much faster than anything I've used before. I like how it sprays clearcoats so it's been reserved for that duty right now. As soon as I get some metallic jobs in, I'm anxious to try it out on those.

Hi Rinker, congratulations for your new gun, it is a great tool.

About the 3300, late for you but maybe not for others, it can be used for base and clear, but it is a lower range than the 4400 or 4500. As Len said it can be used with primers (big nozzles; 1.8-2.2-2.5... and EPA or HVLP cap) or finishes (1.3-1.4 nozzles and EVO cap), but donŽt expect a better spraying than a 4400 for example.

YouŽll find some information about the 3300 Pro right in this forum.

And the 4500 is available also in Australia, I wonŽt paste here a link to another site, but you can find it easily.

Hi there Sagola Spain is there much difference in the 4400 compared to the new 4500? Looking by the pictures it only appeares to be slight cosmetic changes. Also about the 3300 pro does it have a different feel in the hand, lighter more comfortable versus the 4400? I have owned for the past 2 years the digital 4400 with 1.3 setup and RXT01 aircap and find it to be a little slow in the fluid delivery, would the 3300 with evo aircap be any faster and atomise any better for me? Looking for another finish gun but don't want to spend in excess of 400 dollars

Hi, I wouldnŽt say there is a huge difference, in other words; if I already own a 4400 I wouldnŽt change it for a 4500, but if IŽm considering a new gun IŽll go for the 4500.

Talking about the gun body, we improved the finish, making it easier to clean, and we changed the color to our classic metallic orange. Also the regulators are now more rounded and easier to clean. As the 4400 was already a sturdy gun we focused on what every painter matters; maintenance. As well as the 4400 there is not need to grease anything, and there are no seals, so no maintenance tasks are required, but now with the 4500 it even takes less time and effor to clean the gun.

The main improvement has been made with the aircaps, offering also 4 models, similar to the 4400 caps, but tested and adjusted to the latests paint of the main paint brands (standoblue, cromax pro, 90, HS and UHS clears...), and adding a new nozzle to the range; the 1.3XL, offering a better paint flow than the 1.3 (too slow for HS clears IMO) but with a better paint control than the 1.4 (this is fast, so you must be also, or the paint consumption could be high).

Why did I say that IŽll keep my 4400 if I already own one? because I can buy 4500 aircaps and use them with my 4400 (for example, change my RXT02 cap for a new LXT Clear cap, improving the performance of my 4400 with HS clears).

Hi there sagola Spain it's been a while but I need to know if the 3300 pro will be capable of laying down metallic and pearl base? I currently am looking for a basecoat gun that is capable of this and won't cost me too much. Have you guys used it for silvers etc?

Hi, itŽs been sold as a medium priced gun for basecoat and clearcoat, so yes, you can use it, but you should go with the EVO aircap, and I would recommend the 1.3 nozzle. Both EPA and HVLP are multipurpose aircaps, and EVO is made for automotive refinish.

Another opcion could be the new 4100 GTO, somewhere between 3300 and 4500; less priced than 4500, and better performance than 3300 (even with EVO aircap).

    Take care.

    Question

Is the 4100 GTO a compliant gun and is it available in Australia ? Could you tell me a little about this new gun. Thanks

That gun can be shipped from the US and would cost you $289 USD at this time. Shipping would probably be another $50 or $60 going Priority Mail insured.

IŽve just received a comparison made between the 3300Pro and DV GTI Pro (not same category) by a technical magazine, they talk about pearls and some other paints, IŽll find how to upload the file somewhere and send you the link.

This doesn't tell what aircap they used? They also don't really give a good review

    Thumbs up 4100GTO

Hey Len have you used this sagola gun? If so what do you think? Also Do you have PayPal as a payment option as that's all I use for purchases over the net. Have you personally used the 3300 pro with evo cap

I have not used the 4100 so I can't comment on that gun. I have used the 3300 Pro and it worked quite well with the HVLP cap but I didn't spray metallic. The only Sagola guns I've used with a metallic was the 4400 and the 4500 and they are great guns. I'll have to get a 4100 in here to see how it performs but that could be a while.
