Thread: 2" Diameter Hook and Loop Paper

Default 2" Diameter Hook and Loop Paper

I bought the "Mini DA" kit from the store.

Came in, works great, but I could use some more 2" paper, and some coarser 2" paper.

I may have missed it, but I didn't see any for sale in the store? I looked around the web and couldn't find any,, other than at "Woodcraft", and I'm not sure theirs would be the right kind of abrasive for metal.

The audience changes on the weekend. Lots of people out working on their projects.
Len can get anything so if he doesn't chime in, just send him a PM and he'll get you the answer.

What grits are you after? Henry

If Len can't get some for you, go to Home Dept in the rental dept. You can get some H&L sandpaper for 7 or 9 inch discs for floor sanding and cut out the 2' circles.

Can you point me toward the 2" DA?

Right now I'm looking for rough grits for metal work, 80 or even rougher if I could get it.

I'm sure I'll need the finer stuff later.

I'm trying to make the bottom of my car as nice as the top, and there are a lot of nooks and crannies down there. The 2" pad seems to be just what the Dr. ordered.

I've never tried to get the 2" paper for that sander, I'll check it out on Monday.

Well, I looked over all the automotive warehouses with no luck. The only place you may get 2" disks is from a woodworking supplier. Everybody has 3", 5", 6" and 8" but no 2" from automotive suppliers.

    Yeah,

That's what I found as well. Odd isn't it, as clearly 2" comes in the kit with the DA...

Ok JT found them for me. One of my warehouses has 2" 40 grit hook and loop disks for $18.95 and 2" 320 grit hook and loop disks for $16.95 both are 50 disks per box. I'll look in other warehouses tomorrow then list them in the store then link them on this thread.

Ok, here are the only 2" hook and loop disks I've found so far. I'll add other grits when and if they become available.
