    Default Painting suit

Been thinking about buying a suit to spray in that I can wash and reuse. I get the regular tyvek suits "free" from but they don't have hoods. Should I just invest in some disposable hoods or buy an actual "shoot suit?" The tyvek's don't have any ventilation at all and living in Florida it gets pretty warm. Any recommendations on a good suit? Also I'm 6'5 so I would need something that gives me some mobility without riding up my arms.

I wear the akzo/sikkens white paint suits and they work pretty good for me,comfortable and breathable.I'm 6'2 and take an XL so a double XL would work for you.Search around on the net or go to your jobber,I'm sure you will find something you like.

We sell two types of suits, the Krew Suit that is a tyvek suit with a hood, elastic cuffs on the sleeves and pants as well as an elastic waist band. We also sell the Shoot Suit which is a hooded, washable suit with a paint resistant front and a breathable back that has elastic and Velcro cuffs. I use both and they work great. The Shoot Suits come in black or white and run a little small so if you normally wear a large order an extra large.

I'm 6'4" and I wear a SAS moonsuit in XXXL and it is more than long enough. I have never worn triple X anything as I'm not fat, (well, maybe there are a few extra pounds, lol) but the suit is comfortable with a lot of extra room for kneeling and squatting.
I know what you mean about the tyvek, I live in Miami and painting in the summer is brutal with a tyvek suit. I really try to hydrate myself.

    Len,
Do you carry the shoot suit without a hood? The trainers at PPG wear washable suits from PPG that look real nice but I can't find them anywhere.

I haven't found any of the big warehouse distributors that carry them, they all carry the hooded Shoot Suits. There are Tyvek suits available but I'm not sure that any of the warehouses even carry those however they may be more available because more companies make them. I think most people probably think like me and find that the hooded suits are more versatile because they can be used with or without the hood.

I find that washing does little good if you just use laundry soap. Don't know of anyone who spends
time soaking their suits in solvent, would just waste precious material. Just re-use the
paint suit until it develops tears or rips. SAS is thy way.

Get Len's Shoot Suits. I did and they are just fine and last a good while to boot. If you get tired of the hood coming over one eye as you turn your head during the course of a paint session cut the bugger off or trim it like I did. Also wear knee pads so I do not rip the knees out. Good suits and hang outside on a coat hanger after each use for awhile .
