Default final coat of body filler

A friend of mine uses this stuff from NAPA called ICING. Is it really necessary to use this stuff?

It normally pays to use a more liquid filler as you approach perfection. We now use Evercoat's Quantum 1 because it spreads and sands easily and gives us time to spread it smoothly. In the finial stages of filler work an easy spreadable and sandable helps achieve perfection along with a good guide coat.

I love Icing. It is 2K spot glaze that can be applied over scuffed and cured paint, primer, or bare metal. Great for filling sand scratches in regular filler. Cures fast and does not shrink.

I might just go for the quantum first. Seems like you get 1/2 gallon for product w hardener which is alot more than icing for the same price.

Remember that (unlike other fillers) you need to order the hardener for the Quantum 1 separately and it takes 4 times as much as standard fillers to harden the same amount of filler. We love this stuff and use it on just about every job because it spreads so smoothly and hardens slowly.
