    Default TCP Guns?

Has anyone used the TCP guns? Im looking to get half decent guns on a budget. I'll be spraying my mustang this spring, and want a nice finish, but not a show car.

You should ask this question on the TCP global forum...

Somone gave me the "blue" gun from that kit...probably for the same reason I gave it to someone else...not of very good quality.

My first gun, the Finishline III I purchased from here is a much better gun if you don't want to spend a lot of money. So look at the top of the page, click on STORE, get out the credit card, and go shopping!!! I'm sure others will chime in to recommend other "good" lower priced guns...but that particular one gets from me...

I have a TCP gun. It was cheap and has a 2.5 fluid tip. I wanted something to spray thick high build primer with and it fit the bill. For being treated like a red headed step child it doesn't do to bad for it's intended use. I would never use it for any sort of finish though. It's no different than your typical chi-com "HVLP" gun. Might be made in the same factory, who knows?

Go with the finishline gun. I don't know of a better gun for the money, it will last a long time and if you should ever need part for one they should be easier to get.

A couple people here recently were returning new guns to tcp because they couldn't get any service from tcp. At least to learn how to use the gun and resolve problems, this place is open 24/7.

click on the gun if the price is not shown.

Remember, this site also sells about anything you need and will follow you through your projects.

FLG3 it is. Good starting gun, you will never regret it, later , if you up the gun to a more expensive model, you can convert that gun to a primer gun with a quick 1.8 tip change.

    Random:

Please look at it this way. Regardless of what gun you are going to ultimately use, you are going to HAVE TO SPEND the time to prep and prepare the item and surface for painting. So....Why do all of that ( And you have to ) and then shoot craps by using a bull shit cheap gun? This is where 90% of bad paint jobs start at. Think about that for a minute.

Also help support this forum by purchasing from Len. What is all of the advice you have at your finger tips worth to you in the long run? Unless you enjoy having your dollars chasing your dimes then do the right thing. The DeVilbis FLG-3 Gun is a good start. So is the DeVilbis Plus gun. Oh,.... and try getting great service out of TCP and advice after your purchase if and when they answer the phone. What is that worth to you?

You will find it here however and when you need it.

    Good luck

Let us know if it's the full kit with three fluid tips, inlet regulator and aluminum cup.

Good deal! Was it private or a store?

Was a private seller. Said he bought the gun at a local store. I guess it was on sale so he grabbed it. But he never got a chance to use it, and wanted to get rid of it. Craigslist is hit or miss. I bought a used FL3 that was junked and had to send it back to the seller. Just opened the claim with paypal.

You wanna paint cars or play kid games with sprayguns?

The labor in autobody is countless; the materials are expensive especially to waste; all the tools takes a career to acheive and here you are playing games with spray guns. You'll learn the hard way that you ONLY get what you pay for and DON'T cheat on the spraygun. Yes you can get a deal on ebay or Craig but you don't know what you're looking for and in most cases end up buying pretty pictures.
