Thats my thoughts....I'm painting well enough now to where i can control the orange peel to a degree. I'm not colorsanding for the peel, i'm sanding for the dust nibs and small grains of dirt. My thinking was, the finishfilm would sand the dirt particle down and dissolve it...but came to the conclussion thats probably where the tail is coming from. Next paint job i do, i'll hand sand down the dirt particle in the clear, then run over the rest with finishfilm. I wipe the surface constantly to keep the clearcoat dust off, along with wiping down the film so theres not alot of buildup. When garage painting, dirt/dust particles are still the hardest thing to control...I only do one or two vehicles a year so its not real cost effect for me to have a dedicated spray booth. After 5 years of playing with paint, I'm just having fun and still looking to do the perfect paint job.
