Thread: Tool for Strip-n-Clean wheel

    Question Tool for Strip-n-Clean wheel

I have a 3M roloc strip and clean wheel that I am trying to use to remove surface rust from areas where I will be welding cowl and firewall patch panels on my 1965 Mustang FB. I cannot get the wheel to spin fast enough with my electric drill. What drive tool should I be using? Do I need the roloc adapter (3M 7500)? Any help you could provide would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would probably use a pneumatic angle grinder with a Roloc adapter. This will spin it fast and it's a fairly easy tool to control. The 3M 7500 would cost you $14 at this time.

Thanks Len, that's the way I was leaning.
