Default '68 Cutlass resto collision repair

I purchased a '68 Cutlass and need to repair:

    a) LH cowl
    b) LH rear quarter corner near bumper.

As far as the cowl goes, is it easier to just beat out the damage or would it be better to replace? If replacement is a good option, I see that there are aftermarket replacements for chevelles. Are these identical to the Cutlass?

Looking at the photos what would be your approach for fixing both a and b?

    Thanks for your help!

Put the car on a frame machine and have the cowell and the quarter panel pulled.

Thanks Phil. Didn't even consider that.
