    Default Filler dry time

How long after sanding should I spray filler with primer? Can it sit overnight?
    Thanks,

If you're spraying on top of sanded body filler then time isn't a factor because the primer is a mechanical bond not a chemical bond. I'd recommend spraying the primer over a surface that has a 180 grit or finer scratch and be sure to apply your first coat wet so that it dries on the surface, this will help it stick.

Can I apply picklex20 on top of filler? Or will the picklex damage the filler? I have some rusty door sills where I cut out the rust, welded in patches, and then ground the weld bead off. I treated with picklex20, and then filled any irregularities in with Dyna-Glass filler. I sanded the filler flush with the surrounding metal, but can't shoot epoxy primer for several days, and I'm concerned that I'm going to start getting rust on the sanded metal around the filler before I can cover it with primer.

I wouldn't put Picklex on top of filler because it could negatively effect the following coatings. If you need to protect the surface before you paint use epoxy primer, just make sure your primer contains NO ACID.

Thanks for the info. On a similar note, can Prep-Sol or acetone be used on dried primer? I have a little clean-up left in adjacent areas before paint, and am concerned if I have to avoid contaminating the filler.

Don't get acetone on the filler. Might loosen it underneath. Don't know what prep-sol is...so I say no to that too. If you are just removing over spray as long as you keep the solvents off the filler you should be ok.
